Since the flagship store’s opening, Creatures of Comfort New York has developed into a collaborative concept space featuring over 2300 square feet of womenswear, menswear, and lifestyle collections by the likes of Acne, Creatures of Comfort (store label), Margaret Howell, Bernhard Wilhelm, Patrik Ervell, A Detacher, Tsumori Chisato, Isabel Marant, Henrik Vibskov, J.W. Hulme, LD Tuttle, Nomia, and Correll Correll, among others. Founder Jade Lai’s selection at Creatures of Comfort is a playful mix of the avant garde side-by-side with elegant basics. Creatures of Comfort supports monthly happenings that engage artists and designers, independent publishers, and friends, including installations with artists such as Peter Sutherland, Isabel Asha Penzlien, United Bamboo, Textfield Publishers, Playmountain Tokyo, Brian Roettinger and Zen Sekizawa, Ken Miller, Where They Create’s Paul Barbera, Confetti System, Maker Magazine, Sight Unseen, and Postalco.
