The online menswear store Afura is pleased to announce the opening of their first brick and mortar location. The store is located in the Old-West borough of Amsterdam, which borders the famous Vondel Park, and is easily accessible from the city centre. The trending neighbourhood is already rich in cafes, restaurants and faces a steady influx of new ventures. The interior draws its aesthetics from Scandinavian and Parisian design principles; clean lines and quality natural materials. The new flagship store houses a curated selection of the existing brand portfolio with designers like Harmony, Soulland, Han Kjøbenhavn, and Stutterheim. And will continue to evolve this Fall/Winter along the same lines with the introduction of Schnayderman’s, mfpen, Aspesi among others. Victor ter Hark, Co-owner Afura Store, adds: “Apart from the romantic notion to open our own store, the flagship is also the logical move forward. People new to what we do need a place to see the designer’s work to ‘get it’. For ourselves it provides a platform where we can explore and experiment”.
